I have nearly a lifetime of memories with Laketrails from piggy back rides to greased watermelon races to campfires and moose sightings. It is almost unimaginable for me to have to pick just one story to share. Therefore, rather than telling a story, I’d like to offer some of my most vivid memory moments ever…
the pride I felt when I first lifted a canoe onto my shoulders by myself;
the drive that powered my body when the wind was intent on blowing my canoe off course;
the serenity I felt resting on a tree overlooking the water contemplating nature and life;
the exhaustion I felt on a long and hot paddling day resting in the shade to rehydrate;
the satisfaction of finding pictographs on my 100+ mile trip around the Aulneau;
the sadness that overcomes me every time I leave the island;
and most significantly, the bonds forged through unending games of Mafia, hikes along portage trails, and moonlit paddles full of shooting stars and deep conversations.

Well said. There is so much of our times at Laketrails that span the decades.
